Inside our spaces, art interacts in a fundamental way, adding depth and beauty, expressing at the same time quality and emotion. By this belief Bamax presents collection museum, a true series of works of art, born by the cooperation with artist-designer Michel Koehl, suitable for prestigious furnishings all over the world. Each piece of this collection owns its own soul and a story to tell, all of them who fall in love with it are aware that each moment of a well-spent life must be dedicated to the central function of beauty.

Asolo has quite appropriately been defined as the “pearl of Veneto”: during the long centuries of its life, it has experienced moments great splendor with Caterina Comaro, the Queen of Cyprus, and has fascinated hosts of men and women of art and culture who chose it as their adoptive land. In the countryside that extends toward the Marca and Bassano a wide network of artisan workshops has formed in time, and whose productivity as been inspired precisely by that wealth of culture and tradition that Asolo emanates. Bamax, founded in this region about 35 years ago, still expresses its roots in the furniture it manufactures and it does this also because its cabinet-makers and master polishers are the heirs of a skilled and old tradition.

Bamax uses hands, mind and heart in order to create products which last in time, aside from fashion. Bamax continues to utilize the traditional “bassanese” polishing, the only one able to give wood that special glamour and feeling of warmth which are the main characteristics of antique furniture. The successive phases of painting and finishing take place only after an accurate inspection of the rough furniture. Our painting and varnishing techniques are centuries old and our “varnishing masters” have been handing down their secrets from generation to generation. All colours are obtained by mixing different coloured earths with water and after roughly ten coats, a final coat of furniture polish and shellac is given in order to obtain a particular shade which makes our furniture unique and unmistakable. All wood used for our furniture such as walnut, oak and cherry, is adequately dried, evaporated and seasoned, thus assuring an excellent stability in time as well as a long lasting quality.
