In the Greek mythology ZEFIRO was a God that blew the waves of the ocean and gave the birth to the Goddess of Beauty, Venus. Its ancient origin inspires purity, lightness, innovation, beauty. These meanings match with the features of ZEFIRO office system.

ZEFIRO is a natural evolution of the office environment to higher level of awareness and understanding. The culmination of many years of painstaking research and careful study has derived two resounding themes: Ecology & Ergonomics.

Ecology - "the environment as it relates to living organisms."

Ergonomics - "an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely."

Consistent with the "green design" initiatives, the ZEFIRO system has redefined the standard in the use of elements for office design. Combining materials from different origins, such as crystal glass, metal & wood, the versatile system changes, adapts and reacts to meet the current demands of its environment. Utilizing innovative technologies, the manufacturing of this sophisticated product is focused on promoting environmentally conscious engineering.

The Basics :
- Structure - The frame is comprised of extruded, brushed, and anodized aluminum. The manufacturing process avoids the use of pollutants and paints, while bringing out a natural beautiful color of the metal. Additionally, the anodization process subjects the metal to an electrolytic action as the anode of a cell in order to coat with a protective film.

Work surfaces - All table tops come in 12mm thick and are available in the following finishes:
1. Natural maple and cherry wood veneered.
2. Crystal glass white lacquered
3. Veneered melamine barried overlay, available in:
- ribbed white(blue-tinted)
- ribbed gray.
The material is more resistant and durable than the standard used in the industry. The strength of the material comes from two additional layers that lie between the particle board Panel and the melamine sheet. One sheet acts as insulation or a "barrier," while the other acts as the "overlay" composed of transparent cellulose imbued with resin. The end result is a particular finish that illustrates parallel lines on the surface of the table top.
4. Brown wood veneered (Wenge). Obtained by slicing a block of various species of Lamellar wood (Poplar, Ayous, Koto, Ilomba). The wood is made into sheets and dyed uniquely throughout. All sheets are glued together under high pressure in parallel configurations.
5. Lacquered: the worksurfaces can be embossed in: ruby, mocha, indigo, cedar, silver.

Technical features - Suitable for all business needs, ZEFIRO can acclimatize to accommodate executive, managerial, staff, reception, and conference work spaces.

Desks: The standard depth of the desk top is 70 cm which results in the efficient optimization and reduction of the total workspace. The width goes from 110 cm to a maximum of 210 cm
Returns: The depth of the return is 50 cm and the available widths goes from
60 cm to 120 cm

Conference tables: they are rectangular or square. The first ones have a depth of 110 cm and can be either 230 cm or 270 cm wide. The second ones have two dimensions available: 90 cm and 110 cm.

ZEFIRO is the answer to today's workplace.
The new ZEFIRO dimensions redefine the standards in the use of elements for office design and meet the current demands of its environment in terms of workspace optimisation and pollution reduction. The standard desk has been shortened in depth from 80 cm to 70 cm and in length from 160 cm to 150 cm.

The use of ZEFIRO not only provides the maximum fit within the space but also releases space which :

- Allows for further space rationalisation with a potential for cost savings
- Creates opportunities for more creative space use
- Allows businesses to respond to the demands of new ways of working + changing patterns

The attributes of a 1500mm x 700mm worktop not only reduces the fit factor generated by the overall configuration of a space or building but offer immediate space savings, for example, when compared with a 1600mm x 800mm workstation: a run of 2 rows of workstation clusters within a 15metre deep space, offers not only a potential saving of a run of 400mm which equates to 5.4 sqm of space, but also the opportunity to accommodate another 8 x workstations!

Taking in account secondary circulation, this is also an 11% reduction in each workstation footprint. Emerging new technologies, especially with the increase in use of flat screen displays (15 inch LCD flat screens can use up to 75% less desk space), reduces the demand for larger + deeper worktops. the 1500mm x 700mm worktop offers potential space savings through the use of smaller furniture footprints without compromising on the ergonomics needs.
Working styles are changing. the introduction of wireless technology, hot desking + the use of short-term contract staff are having a dramatic affect on business + working practices. whether there is a need for an office re-shuffle or relocating a corporate headquarters it is imperative that the resulting environment complements the needs of individuals + the technology they use.

Assembling features - The supporting structure consist in horizontal bars and structural legs attached together by a system on pins that make assembly fast and easy. The wood and veneered tops are attached to the structural frame through the use of specially placed magnets. No screws or power drills are required to install the table tops to the legs. This innovative assembling system speeds up all the installation process. The position and properties of the magnets are such that they do not interfere in any way with the electronic tools of the modern day office. This highly technical solution was created, patented, and registered by us (C.M.C.).
