Collaborative seating for today's working environment, a perfect combination of engineering and aesthetics. Available on pedestal or beam, with fixed or retractable armrests or armless. A wide range of accessories allows the Erasmus to be adapted at any environment and task. The chair's appearance can be enhanced with bookracks, hangers, headrests and veneers or fabric inserts under the seat, on the backrest shell or in the armrests. Included in the full range of accessories, are writing elements. Available are right and left hand writing tablets that neatly hide inside the armrest when not in use, the backrest fold-down writing table, and the independent fold-down writing table, all of them with an antipanic mechanism, that automatically retract when the user stands. The Collection fills the most demanding communication needs. Virtually any technology can be installed into the chair's electronics bay. Typical applications include simultaneous translation, conferencing, voting, up to several or more RJ45 inlets, ID chip-card reader, LCD video, video camera, reading lamp, touchscreen. Modules can be installed into the chair's electronic bay placed in the rear back, between the backrests and on the tables. The seating on beam with freestanding feet is ideal for multipurpose rooms, where the furniture cannot be floor mounted and clearing the room for other functions is necessary. The freestanding feet are available with popup casters for a fast and easy reconfiguration and stacking.

Structure
The structural beam is made of zinc-plated rectangular steel tubing.
The mounting foot is a stamped steel plate, with welded reinforcement and stamped gussets. Finish is in a slate grey colour epoxy powder coat.
The seat and backrest inner structures are made of zinc-plated tubular steel, zinc-plated high carbon stamped steel plates, completed by polymer elastic webbing for comfort.
The backrest, seat and headrest shells are made from thick, impact resistant, injection moulded polypropylene (PP), in a grey slate colour.

Padding
The foam cushions are fire resistant cold moulded polyurethane (PU) , with a density of 60 kg/m3 for the seat and 50 kg/m3 for the backrest.

Mechanisms and adjustments
There are 4 selectable backrest angles: 14°, 20°, 25° and 31°, depending on users' viewing angle.
The seat tip-up mechanism is spring-loaded with noise dampeners, synchronized with the tip-up armrests.

Armrests
The armrest inner structure is a zinc-plated steel oval column, with a zinc-plated steel plate.
The armrests are made from injection moulded PP with its steel inserts. The upper arms are made from integral PU.

Accessories on request
Headrest: The inner structure is made of a 15 mm zinc-plated steel rod. The foam cushions are F/R cold moulded PU. The headrest shell in PP, in grey slate colour.
The antipanic writing tablets are made of scratch resistant, black phenolic and retract into the armrest. Right and left hand are available.
The backrest antipanic writing table is made of scratch resistant black phenolic.
The freestanding feet are made of stamped steel plate. The finish is slate grey, scratch resistant, epoxy powder coated.
