Sideboard with four doors, with marble top

Sideboard with four doors, top in Nero Marquina marble, multi-ply poplar structure, glossy black frisè eucalyptus external finish, with door front/back and back panel inlayed with contrasting strips. Decorations, elements under the top and base in brass, with shiny gold plated finish. Handles in shiny gold plated brass, with semi-precious Tiger’s Eye stone inserts. Internal part and drawers veneered in glossy zebrawood, inserts in tempered smoked glass, and drawer bottoms in matching leatherette with contrasting stitching.

This sideboard looks like an antique and precious strongbox. It is characterized by geometric forms that recall the Deco period. The repetition of the two-toned line of the inlay work create optical effects that match the rhomboid shapes of the handles. The latter, treated as jewels, have inlaid semi-precious stone details such as Tiger’s Eye. This design choice creates an harmonious geometric effect on the front of the sideboard. The interiors of the cabinets are enhanced not only by the inlay motif of the doors, but also, and especially, by the use of Zebrawood or American Black Walnut, which create a strong chromatic contrast. The brass and the marble of the top surface complete the value of the furnishing and confer majesty on it.
