Jean Nouvel

JND, an independent company, was set up in 1995 by Jean Nouvel to accompany architecture firm AJN by working in the field of design and interior architecture.

Since its launch, JND has developed many objects and furniture concepts. These are often – but not always – connected to Jean Nouvel’s architectural projects, as he considers architecture to be a coherent and comprehensive thought process.

Specificity, “elementarity”, the quest for the essence of things are central to Jean Nouvel’s philosophy, and are reflected in JND’s design and interior architecture activities.

Multidisciplinary, the JND team comprises architects, interior architects, designers and graphic designers. The offices are located at Cité d'Angoulême in Paris, in the vicinity of AJN’s headquarters.
