Writing desk with multi-ply poplar structure, veneered in American walnut, with natural matt solid American walnut legs and inserts upholstered in leather. Tips in brass with shiny gold plated finish. Drawers with roller shutter closers.

This desk recreates an early twentieth-century vibe. Small solid wood roller shutters conceal the pigeonholes and the central pull-out writing surface. It functions as a real secrétaire, where private and valuable documents can be safely kept. Contrary to today’s fast and superficial handling of written correspondence, this object aims to recover that romantic and a bit retro “taste” for writing letters by hand. The splendid leather cladding of the writing surface, combined with elements made of high quality wood, heightens the item’s value, while the four turned solid wood legs with brass tips complete the desk and lend it gracefulness and a highly recognizable style.
